Texas Made a History after Ike

Hurricane Ike

On Sunday, September 14, 2008, Texas made a new history for it’s biggest rescue effort after Hurricane Ike. As the search team looked through the flooded houses and destructions, nearly 2,000 people reported have been rescued. About 21 deaths were found in the City of Galveston and some outside of Texas. Also, the electricity in the city went off, no gas, and some serious damages that might last for a month or more.

It’s said to be the biggest rescue effort in Texas history that included massive groups of people and more than 50 helicopters. President Bush has planned a visit and organized supports for rebuilding and for people who were hurt from the hit.

This incident might affect oil prices again. The hurricane hit and left damages for some offshore oil production facilities that might cause the oil prices to go up again for the next several weeks.

I would like to invite all of us through this website to pray or to express your sympathy to our friends and relatives who might have been victims of the hurricane.
