Wikipedia describes Black Friday as “the Friday after Thanksgiving in the United States, where it is the beginning of the traditional Christmas shopping season… many employees take the day off, which increases the number of potential shoppers”.
To me Black Friday can result in two outcomes: the day where one is filled with joy and happiness (for prices are going to drop on that day), and the day where one spends more than what he usually does.
To decide which outcome is more to your fitting, it is entirely up to you. For my family and I, we are definitely going to be filled with joy and happiness and spend ‘a little’ bit more than what we usually do.
Our targets have been decided since 6 o’clock Thursday, Nov. 27, 2008; Wal-Mart (sad, huh?), Target, GameStop, CompUSA and The Parks at Arlington.
We have never been to any early bird sale before and this year we are going to try it out. Wake up at 4 o’clock; get ready; and go to our destinations starting from Wal-Mart first at 4:30 in the morning. We are definitely excited but also nervous if the products that we want to get have already been sold out.
Well, this time, I want to hear anything from you guys. Give us comments on this article; please do not write us emails. Anything that you want to tell about your previous Black Friday experiences, or if you haven’t had any experience about it maybe you can share what your plans are for this big day. And heck, if you don’t even know what Black Friday is just join in the conversation. We would like to know your opinions.
Thanks y’all. Happy Thanksgiving and Happy Shopping from Tjia Family.
