Can you imagine a setting where there is a bridge and there is a man on one side and a woman on the other side. Now imagine both are coming towards each other and one would shout “Suamiku (My husband)” and “Istriku (My wife)” from the man. And if you are an Indonesian growing up there back in 1990s, you would know what I am talking about: the famous “Siluman Ular Putih/Legend of the White Snake.”
When I was little, I got chicken pox. Now, when you were sick in the Kunadi Family, you get ANYTHING you want. So being a sick and clingy little boy, I asked my mom to get me a tape that has all soundtracks of Legend of the White Snake (let’s call it LWS) when she was going out to pick my medicine. I never attempt this when I was hyper and well (cuz it will NEVER work). At the end of the day, I got a tape of LWS in Bahasa Indonesia version (which I thought was cool at that time but not anymore) and got really happy. Love you Mom!!! 
My main point to you kids is that get sick and you can get anything you want from your parents. <– totally kiding….. My real point is that I am now re-watching this drama just because a couple of nights ago I was browsing YouTube and browsed for “Satria Baja Hitam Soundtrack” (Ah the nostalgia…) and thought of sharing it.
My goal for this Summer when I go back to Indo is to look for the following DVDs (if possible in Bahasa Indonesia sub and dub):
- Siluman Ular Putih (Legend of the White Snake)
- Kera Sakti
- Putri Huan Zhu (Huan Zhu Ge Ge)
